Silver Dragon Head Oval Pendant
Silver Dragon Head Oval Pendant
The Celtic dragon is unique. Most cultures represent dragons as towering, frightening symbols of power and authority. They were wise, strong, but unpredictable in their passions. Celts believed something different. Celtic dragons are snakelike serpents with vast magical abilities. They are protectors, healers, and sources of unrelenting wisdom. The ancient Celtic people revered them as a symbol of vast power, but also one of prosperity, spirituality, and intelligence.
The dragon in this piece is depicted in one of the most common Celtic poses, with its head near its tail. This represents the cyclical nature of life and worldly things.
