Connemara and Marcasite Claddagh Pendant
Connemara and Marcasite Claddagh Pendant
This sterling silver necklace features a traditional claddagh design. It combines Connemara marble, marcasite, and sterling silver into a distinctively Irish accessory. Connemara marble is known as “Ireland’s gemstone” and is only found in the heart of Connemara, Ireland. Marcasite is a light crystal with a bright metallic finish, adding a vintage sparkle.
The Claddagh represents love (heart), friendship (hands) and loyalty (crown), and echoes the words of the Irish sailor who first crafted it for his sweetheart: “With these hands I give you my heart, and I crown it with my love."
This piece comes on an 18-inch sterling silver trace chain and is Irish hallmarked by the Assay Office at Dublin Castle. The patterns and colours of the natural marble are unique and varied, resulting in slight differences between each necklace of this design.
