Wooden St Brigid's Cross Ornament

On St. Bridgid's day, it is tradition to make a four-armed cross from rushes and hang it in the home to protect from fire and negative energies. This carving is made using intarsia, the ancient art of overlaying various woods into a solid wooden surface. This ornament was made using seven different woods!
